Flashdevelop in OS X. I dreamed it. There it is.

There we go.

Finally!

I can run Flash develop under OS X as if it was native - and not using the crappy windows emulation of Crossover, but using the new beta (magic build 3038) of Parallels.

Better than that, I can run any XP application transparently within OS X. And it’s super fast. OS X starts my Flash 8 PC faster than Flash 8 Mac. Go figure. As far as I can tell the XP within OS X runs as fast as on my PC, which is a decent 2ghz Prescott with ddr2 ram. Flash runs like a charm.

So now, for example, I can test sites in Firefox PC/Mac - IE PC and Safari within the same screen… which is totally useless for a flash developer but you know, it’s cool.

This new beta of Parallels also let you drag and drop files between PC/Mac as well as being able to use Mac shortcuts within the PC (that last feature being more alpha than beta).

Besides a few jaggy windows movements (it’s beta after all), it runs perfectly.

Following, a few screenshots. Today was a great day.
